Women of Hope is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and restoring women to wholeness through transitional housing and comprehensive support programs.
Our story
The vision for Women of Hope began with our Founder and CEO, Sheila Locatelli, during her time serving in ministry at New Community Bible Fellowship. While working closely with women in her church and community, Sheila recognized a deep need among women who were struggling to reenter society after experiencing difficult “life situations” that left them feeling hopeless.
Her heart was drawn especially to women transitioning from incarceration, homeless veterans, and women who had endured trauma. These challenges often result in homelessness, substance use, unemployment, and emotional instability—but Sheila believed God had a greater plan.
Sheila often says that hope is a rare “commodity” for women in crisis, but with faith, change is both possible and achievable. This conviction became the foundation of Women of Hope, where every program is designed to restore dignity, stability, and purpose.

“Right before I got out of prison I found out Women of Hope had faith-based sober living. So I decided to give it a try and I’m so thankful I did. We are a family living in the house. The house mom and the girls are the closest thing to family I’ve ever had.”
